Sauna Maintenance
Saunas are wood, heat, and sweat. That combination needs a schedule.
A sauna that's used and never maintained turns dark, sour, and eventually moldy, and heater neglect is the number-one cause of dead sessions. We keep home and commercial saunas clean, fresh, and heating properly.
What sauna service covers
- Deep cleaning of benches, walls, floors, and backrests with wood-safe products, no household chemicals that off-gas at 180°F
- Mold and mildew prevention: ventilation checks and treatment of the damp zones where trouble starts
- Heater and stone care: stone inspection and re-stacking, element checks, control verification
- Wood treatment: periodic sanding of high-contact surfaces and paraffin-oil treatment where appropriate
Home saunas: quarterly is usually right
For a household sauna, our quarterly deep service keeps things fresh, with simple habits in between (we'll show you the two that matter). If your sauna shares a plan with a hot tub or plunge, it rides the same visit, one technician, one schedule, everything handled.
Commercial saunas: daily use, documented care
A gym sauna sees more use in a day than a home sauna sees in a month. High-traffic saunas need a much tighter cleaning cadence, and owners need the paper trail. Our commercial agreements cover both.
The heater is where saunas die
Cracked stones restrict airflow and stress elements; failing elements take the room down the week you need it. Stone and heater care is included in every sauna plan because it's the difference between a sauna that lasts and one that limps.
